Gifts to Give
We all give many gifts to this world big and small. When we give our gifts freely and honestly we are being true to ourselves. When we hold back our gifts because of insecurity, doubt, shame, or any other reason…. We die a little on the inside. Gifts we give can make our light glow brighter. When that happens and others truly see us in that light, we give others the courage to be bright and shiny as well. It also gives us the energy to keep giving. On the other hand, we have to be open to receive gifts from others as well. When we receive gifts, it also refuels us while kindling that light in others. Do you need practice in one or both of these areas? I think sometimes we might be very one sided…giving too much and not being open to receiving. Or taking too much and not giving all that we have to give. Finding that balance helps to create balance with others and within ourselves. What area do you need to focus on? Giving? Receiving? Both? How will you do it? Share your comments below so we can all learn from each other… Yours in giving and receiving, Denise

The family reunion is an annual tradition to nurture the ties that bind. Whenever there is a grand reunion coming up, participating families including distant relatives are tasked to chip in for the food and other expenses. But there's more to it than cooking up a meal and putting up the decorations. There's shopping to do, gassing up the car, and other expenses that drain anorexic men's wallets.

I love the concept of gift giving. Whether it’s a simple gift or an expensive one, the surprise and thrill you get while opening a package cannot be replaced. Wrapping gifts is one of my most favorite crafts. I find joy in wrapping presents and I get excited for the person who will receive it. I know that finding the right gift for a certain person could be difficult sometimes, but that’s just an additional challenge and experience. Let us learn to appreciate every gift we receive regardless of what’s inside.
